Though I lived then on the edge of Camberwell, where one might expect to find them, it so happened that I knew of none there. SO I went to the city to pick up materials. I thought that I should breathe them in between Lombard Street and Founder's Court, if only I kept my mouth open wide enough. Somehow I did not. London is not like Paris, where you have but to go to the Café de la Bourse, and pick your millionaires by watching who eat most sauce.
